COMPUTIME expects that the interim profit attributable to shareholders for the period ending September 30, 2025, will decrease by approximately 80%-90% year-on-year, compared to HKD 28.8 million in the same period last year. The main reasons include the significant net foreign exchange gain of HKD 9.3 million in the same period last year, which has not been replicated in this reporting period, as well as proactive investments made to address geopolitical risks to accelerate business and technology development. Although the current benefits have not yet been fully realized, these initiatives will lay the foundation for future growth
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, COMPUTIME (00320) announced that it expects the group's profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ending September 30, 2025, to decrease by approximately 80%-90% year-on-year, compared to a profit of about HKD 28.8 million for the same period last year. The main reasons for the decline in profit attributable to shareholders are (i) a significant net foreign exchange gain of approximately HKD 9.3 million recorded in the same period last year, which had a positive impact on profits at that time, while there is no such non-recurring gain in the current reporting period; and (ii) in response to the evolving geopolitical risks and in line with the strategic direction of the group and its clients, the group has taken proactive investments to accelerate business and technological development while expanding its overseas production layout. These forward-looking initiatives involve prudent restructuring of its resources to support the group's sustainable and long-term growth.
