On November 5, several significant mergers and acquisitions were reported. Arthur J Gallagher acquired Surescape Insurance Services, CEVA Logistics completed its $383 million acquisition of Borusan Tedarik, and The Woodlands Financial Group purchased Alabama Insurance Agency. E. Sun Financial announced an all-share deal for Mercuries Life. Ovintiv plans to buy NuVista Energy for $2.7 billion, while Sonida Senior Living is in talks to acquire CNL Healthcare Properties for $1.8 billion. Apollo Global withdrew its offer for Papa John’s, and Starbucks will sell its China operations to Boyu Capital for $4 billion. CBRE Group acquired Pearce Services for $1.2 billion.
