CIMC ENRIC collaborates with CMES and Sinopec Hong Kong to build a green fuel refueling center in Hong Kong
CIMC ENRIC (03899.HK) announced a strategic cooperation with CMES and Sinopec Hong Kong to promote the realization of green methanol refueling in Hong Kong and to advance the project into a substantial construction phase. In the future, it will integrate the advantageous resources of all parties to build a complete industrial chain closed loop from green methanol production, storage and transportation to refueling, providing solid support for Hong Kong to become a normalized refueling center for green marine fuel in the Asia-Pacific region, and also providing a demonstration model for the green transformation of the global shipping industry.
The first commercial renewable methanol project developed by CIMC ENRIC in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, is designed with an annual production capacity of 5+20 million tons, which began planning in 2022. The first phase with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons is expected to be put into production in the fourth quarter of this year, providing a stable and reliable supply of green methanol for Hong Kong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
