Xie Zhanhuan and representatives from the two power companies will meet with the media at 4:30 PM to announce details of next year's electricity tariff adjustments

The Secretary for the Environment and Ecology, Tse Chin-wan, the Managing Director of HKELECTRIC (02638.HK), Cheng Tsu-ying, and the President of China Light and Power, Luo Jia-jin, will hold a joint press conference today (18th) at 4:30 PM to announce the electricity tariff adjustment plans for the two power companies for 2026.

According to reports, the two companies are expected to reduce electricity tariffs by about 2% next year, with the average net electricity tariff expected to decrease by approximately 3 to 4 cents per kilowatt-hour compared to the same period last year
