SIA Engineering deepens engine maintenance cooperation with Safran Aircraft Engines | Lianhe Zaobao
SIA Engineering and Safran Aircraft Engines will deepen their cooperation by signing a letter of intent to explore the expansion of existing commercial agreements, including the establishment of a joint venture to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for CFM LEAP engines. Currently, SIA Engineering's facilities in Changi North provide rapid turnaround maintenance services for Safran's LEAP engines
SIA Engineering and Safran Aircraft Engines will deepen their collaboration in aircraft engine maintenance.
The two companies issued a joint statement on Tuesday (November 25) announcing that they have signed a letter of intent to explore expanding the scope of services in their existing commercial agreement, including the establishment of a joint venture to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for CFM LEAP aircraft engines.
CFM LEAP is an engine developed by the joint venture between Safran Aircraft Engines and GE Aerospace.

Currently, SIA Engineering's aircraft engine service facility located in Changi North provides rapid replacement maintenance services for Safran's LEAP engines.
SIA Engineering stated that this collaboration is built on the long-term partnership between the two parties. SIA Engineering may also contribute more significantly to Safran's LEAP engine maintenance network by enhancing its engine maintenance capabilities and capacity.
The two parties have not yet reached or signed any binding agreements, and it is uncertain whether these agreements will be signed or if related negotiations will continue
