The U.S. stock market was closed on Thursday (November 27) for the Thanksgiving holiday and will resume half-day trading on Friday (28).
Futures for Asia-Pacific stock indices indicate slight declines in the Japanese, Hong Kong, and Australian markets on Friday. Nevertheless, global stock markets continue to maintain their best weekly performance since June. The main driving force comes from investors' firm expectations of a rate cut by the U.S. Federal Reserve next month, with a tendency for multiple rate cuts to be announced next year.
With expectations for rate cuts continuing to heat up, the FTSE Straits Times Index rose slightly by 7.78 points, or 0.17%, closing at 4509.34 points on Thursday.

- Frasers Property disclosed before the market opened that its wholly-owned subsidiary Frasers Property Treasury will redeem all of its issued SGD 300 million fixed-rate subordinated perpetual securities on January 17, 2026, with the redemption price including accrued dividends.
Since January 17 next year is a non-working day, the redemption amount will be paid on the next business day (19th) and the perpetual securities will be canceled thereafter. No additional interest or other amounts will be paid during the delayed payment period. Frasers Property's stock price fell 0.95% to SGD 1.04 on Thursday.

Digilife Technologies announced before the market opened that its wholly-owned subsidiary Peremex has reached an agreement with subscribers to extend the long stop date of the subscription agreement to January 31, 2026. Peremex intends to sell its entire stake in Bharat IT Services. The company's stock price closed at SGD 0.50 on Thursday, unchanged.
