The U.S. Thanksgiving holiday market is closed, and today (28th) there is only a half-day market. European stocks rose slightly overnight (27th). The Hong Kong stock market was fluctuating and slightly weak in the morning session. The Hang Seng Index opened 65 points higher but then fell, dropping 138 points to a low of 25,807 points, closing down 61 points or 0.2% at 25,884 points; the National Index fell 20 points or 0.2% to 9,144 points; the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 5 points or 0.1% to 5,603 points. The total turnover of the market for the half-day decreased to HKD 75.496 billion.

In November, 178 domestic online games were approved in mainland China, including Baidu (09888.HK), Bilibili (09626.HK), and Xishanju. Baidu rose 0.8%, while Bilibili and Kingsoft (03888.HK) fell 0.4% and 0.3%. JD.com (09618.HK) reportedly received conditional approval from Italy for its acquisition of Germany's Ceconomy, with its stock price rising 0.9%.

In other tech stocks, Alibaba (09988.HK) rose 0.7%, while Tencent (00700.HK), Meituan (03690.HK), Kuaishou (01024.HK), and Xiaomi (01810.HK) fell between 0.2% and 0.6%. Meituan will announce its quarterly results after the market closes. NetEase (09999.HK) closed flat at HKD 214.8. Additionally, Dongfang Zhenxuan (01797.HK) rose 2.8%, while Alibaba Health (00241.HK) fell 2.3%. In the chip sector, SMIC (00981.HK) and Hua Hong (01347.HK) rose 0.5% and 2.3%. Lens Technology (06613.HK) in the mobile components sector rose 2.1%. Robotics stock UBTECH (09880.HK) rose 4.4%.

In the automotive sector, GAC (02238.HK) launched deliveries of the Aion UT super, with its stock price soaring 12.1%. SERES (09927.HK) fell 7.8%, while BYD (01211.HK) rose 0.4%. Battery stock CATL (03750.HK) fell 1.1%. Autonomous driving chip stock Horizon (09660.HK) rose 3.3%. In consumer and domestic demand stocks, Pop Mart (09992.HK) and Mixue (02097.HK) rose 3.8% and 2.7%, while China Duty Free (01880.HK) and Nongfu Spring (09633.HK) fell 2.4% and 2.9%. Gaming stocks MGM China (02282.HK) rose 3.3%, while pharmaceutical stocks Innovent Biologics (01801.HK) and Hansoh Pharmaceutical (03692.HK) fell 2.8% and 3.2%, and WuXi AppTec (02359.HK) fell 3.9%.

In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) closed flat at HKD 109, while Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) and AIA (01299.HK) fell 0.2% and 1.8%. Domestic insurance stocks China Pacific Insurance (00966.HK) and PICC (01339.HK) fell over 2% Chinese property stock Sunac (01918.HK) rose 4.5%. Gold stocks China Gold International (02099.HK) and Lingbao (03330.HK) surged 5.2% and 4.7%, respectively. Deson Development International Holdings (00113.HK) reported a 14% increase in half-year net profit, with an interim dividend including a special dividend totaling 30 cents, and the stock rose 6.1% to HKD 5.59
