
FTSE MIB Gains for 4th Session

The FTSE MIB index rose 0.6% to 43,400, marking its fourth consecutive session of gains, driven by expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut in December. Italian GDP grew 0.1% in Q3, reversing a previous contraction. Top gainers included Moncler, Tenaris, and STMicroelectronics. The index is set for weekly and monthly gains.
The FTSE MIB rose 0.6% to around 43,400 in early trading on Friday, marking a fourth consecutive session of gains as investors concluded a volatile month.
Sentiment remained supported by growing expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut in December.
On the data front, Italian GDP expanded 0.1% quarter-on-quarter in Q3, reversing the 0.1% contraction in the previous quarter and revising higher from the preliminary estimate of stagnation, in line with market expectations.
Traders now await preliminary October inflation figures.
Across the bourse, top gainers included Moncler (+1.3%), Tenaris (+0.8%), and STMicroelectronics (+0.6%).
The index is on track for both weekly and monthly gains.
