MAN WAH HLDGS (01999.HK) expressed deep sorrow over the recent Level 5 fire at Hongfu Garden in Tai Po. The incident resulted in significant casualties, including the unfortunate death of a firefighter. The company extends its heartfelt condolences to the victims and offers its deepest care and sympathy to all the injured and their families.
MAN WAH HLDGS has immediately initiated assistance actions, donating a total of HKD 10 million in funds and materials, specifically including: 1. A cash donation of HKD 5 million to provide emergency financial assistance to the families of the deceased and injured, supporting frontline rescue and follow-up work, covering needs such as living supplies, medical assistance, and subsequent transitional housing.
- A material donation of HKD 5 million, which has been dispatched to the disaster area, including 2,500 high-quality cotton blankets, 2,000 latex pillows, and 2,000 sets of towels, to address some of the living needs of the affected residents.
