SAO PAULO, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Brazilian brewer Ambev (ABEV3.SA) on Monday introduced new production lines at its Uberlandia factory following a 1.3 billion real ($243.29 million) investment, which will double its premium beer brands’ output.
• The number of industrial production lines increased from three to five, with three for bottles and two for cans.
• The facility has received 2 billion reais in investments since its 2016 inauguration and is one of Brazil’s largest premium beer production sites.
• Located in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, it serves nine states across the country.
• “The investment represents our long-term commitment to Minas Gerais and to the development of the beer market,” Valdecir Duarte, vice president of Supply at Ambev, said in a statement.
• The company’s brands include Stella Artois, Corona, Spaten, Original and Budweiser.
