Chevron's Gorgon liquefied natural gas project receives $2 billion investment commitment

Chevron's Australian subsidiary announced on Friday that the partners of the Gorgon joint venture have approved the A$3 billion Gorgon Stage 3 development on the northwest coast of Western Australia. This development project will serve as a backfill area for the existing liquefied natural gas export project and will connect the offshore Geryon and Eurytion gas fields to Gorgon's existing infrastructure on Barrow Island
