Workspace Studio integrates Google applications such as Gmail, Chat, Drive, and external software like Asana and Jira, fully available to enterprise users. Users can share AI agents with their teams to enhance collaboration
Many companies know that AI Agents can automatically handle complex tasks and want to rely on them to reduce costs and increase efficiency, but they find it difficult to integrate them into actual business operations. In this regard, Google’s newly launched Workspace Studio can help, as it is based on the multimodal understanding capabilities of Gemini 3, allowing users to "design, manage, and share AI agents." Even without programming knowledge or specialized syntax, users can create custom AI agents and build automated processes that understand context and have reasoning capabilities in just a few minutes.
Three Steps to Automate Work with AI Agents
Unlike traditional automation processes, the Workspace Studio AI agents, centered around Gemini 3, can analyze sentiment, generate content, perform intelligent prioritization, and send smart notifications. In fact, the AI agents in Workspace Studio consist of three main components:
Triggers: Set activation conditions, such as a specific time or receiving an email from a designated contact.
Execution Steps: Determine the tasks of the agent, such as drafting replies, adding content to documents, or extracting information.
Custom Variables: Set variables in the steps, such as applying Gemini replies, message senders, or form responses.
Based on these three components, general users without programming backgrounds can create nodes from different steps, string them together into processes, and customize AI agents to automate work.
Integration with Mainstream Office Software
Currently, Workspace Studio can integrate with Gmail, Chat, Drive, and other Google productivity applications, as well as external mainstream office software such as Asana, Jira, Mailchimp, and Salesforce.
Fully Open to Business Users
In practical operation, for example, with Gmail, users only need to input the command: "If there are questions in the email that need a reply, mark them as pending and notify me in Chat," and the system will automatically construct the corresponding agent. The AI agent can further extract important information from emails and attachments, such as action items, invoice numbers, etc. Additionally, users can share AI agents with their teams to enhance collaboration.
Moreover, when using AI agents, users do not need to open a new page; they can activate them through the shortcut icon in the upper right corner of the web application. Users can also view dedicated website management features, which include tabs such as "Explore," "My Agents," and "Activity Log."
According to official sources, Workspace Studio is now fully open to business users (Business and Enterprise)
