
Ford recalls nearly 109,000 vehicles, NHTSA says

Ford has recalled 108,762 vehicles in the U.S. due to issues with liftgate hinge covers that may detach. The recall affects certain 2020–2022 Escape and 2025 Escape models. Dec 5 (Reuters) - Ford (F.N) has recalled 108,762 vehicles in the U.S. over issues with an improperly secured liftgate hinge cover that could detach from the vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Friday.
The recall covers certain 2020–2022 Escape and 2025 Escape models. Dealers will inspect and reinstall or replace any missing liftgate hinge covers as needed, free of charge, the regulator said.
Separately, Ford has also recalled nearly 12,000 Lincoln MKT 2016-2019 vehicles as the driver and front passenger B-Pillar door trim could detach, increasing the risk of a crash, the auto safety regulator said.
