
"Economics" U.S. personal consumption expenditures rose 0.3% in September, in line with expectations
The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Economic Analysis stated on Friday that personal consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, increased by 0.3% in September, in line with market expectations, while the growth rate for August was revised down to 0.5%. The report was delayed due to a 43-day government shutdown.
