U.S. total rig count gains 5 in latest Baker Hughes survey

The U.S. rig count increased by 5 to 549 in the latest Baker Hughes survey, following a drop of 10 rigs the previous week. Crude oil rigs rose by 6 to 413, while gas rigs decreased by 1 to 129. The total rig count is down 6.8% compared to last year. Rigs in the Permian, Williston, and Eagle Ford Basins remained unchanged. ETFs related to oil and gas include USO, UCO, SCO, USL, DBO, DRIP, GUSH, USOI, UNG, BOIL, KOLD, UNL, and FCG.
