Midea's humanoid robot "Mei Luo U" is unveiled, pioneering six-arm collaboration to support rapid switching of multiple modules
Midea Group (00300.HK) Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Wei Chang recently participated in the "2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area New Economic Development Forum and 21st Century Technology Annual Conference," where the humanoid robot "MIROU" was officially unveiled. It is the industry's first six-armed wheeled humanoid robot, boasting the technical feature of "operational capabilities that surpass human physiological limits."
Wei Chang disclosed that as the third-generation product of Midea's humanoid robot family, the Midea humanoid robot MIROU has a core technology system that is completely independently developed and constructed by Midea Group. It can achieve stable lifting and 360-degree rotation in place, with six bionic humanoid robotic arms that are precisely and flexibly controlled. At the same time, the actuators support rapid switching of various end modules, forming a multidimensional collaborative operation system.
Reports indicate that MIROU will enter the Wuxi high-end washing machine factory by the end of this year to empower the production line. It is said to significantly enhance the efficiency of the humanoid robot production line's cycle time, with a 30% improvement in the efficiency of line change adjustments.
Wei Chang stated that Midea Group will continue to increase its investment in technology research and development in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, with the large-scale application of humanoid robots being a key direction.
He also pointed out that the current core proposition of the humanoid robot industry is to solve the "value of technology landing" issue. Midea is promoting the transition of humanoid robots from the laboratory to large-scale production and real-life scenarios through continuous technological iteration and in-depth exploration of applications
