"Hong Kong Stocks" Hang Seng Index opened high at 230 points, gold stocks rose, Zijin increased by over 3%

The US Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices reached record closing highs, and Hong Kong stocks opened higher this morning (12th). The Hang Seng Index opened up 230 points or 0.9%, at 25,761 points; the National Index opened up 78 points or 0.9%, at 9,013 points; the Hang Seng Tech Index opened up 56 points or 1%, at 5,591 points.

Gold prices rose significantly, with Zijin (02899.HK) and China Gold International (02099.HK) opening up 3.5% and 3.4%, respectively. Shandong Gold (01787.HK) and Zhaojin (01818.HK) opened up 2.1% and 2%. Silver prices hit a new high, with China Silver Group (00815.HK) opening up 2.9%. Aluminum stock Hongqiao (01378.HK) opened up 3.3%.

In the tech sector, Alibaba-W (09988.HK), NetEase-S (09999.HK), and Kuaishou-W (01024.HK) opened up 1.4% to 1.9%. Tencent (00700.HK) and Baidu-SW (09888.HK) opened up 1.1% and 1%, respectively. Meituan-W (03690.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), and SMIC (00981.HK) opened up 0.5% to 0.7%, while Bilibili-W (09626.HK) opened up 0.1%.

In the automotive sector, Xiaomi-W (01810.HK), Li Auto-W (02015.HK), and Geely (00175.HK) opened up 0.9% to 1.1%. Nio-SW (09866.HK) opened up 2.2%, and BYD (01211.HK) opened flat at HKD 97.35. Battery stock CATL (03750.HK) opened up nearly 3%.

In the financial sector, HSBC (00005.HK) reached a new high after going ex-dividend, opening up 1.8% at HKD 116.1. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) opened up 0.9%, and AIA (01299.HK) opened up 0.1%. Other stocks included Sands China (01928.HK) opening up 2.4%, while Zhongsheng (00881.HK), Haier Smart Home (06690.HK), Budweiser APAC (01876.HK), and Shenzhou (02313.HK) each opened up 1.7%
