Shanghai: Focus on building a science and technology innovation center, supporting the revitalization of the island to create an international innovation and entrepreneurship cluster

The Shanghai Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau recently issued the "Guiding Opinions on Focusing on the Construction of the Science and Technology Innovation Center, Promoting the Activation of Existing Spatial Resources, and Supporting the Creation of an International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cluster in Fuxing Island." The goal is to create an international innovation and entrepreneurship cluster in Fuxing Island. It aims to coordinate the strategic positioning and land reserve characteristics of Fuxing Island, following the principles of "combining near and far, unified planning, and activating existing resources." It will comprehensively consider the development layout along both banks of the Huangpu River and the central-northern section, fully leveraging the advantages of technology, education, and talent resources in Yangpu, and making full use of the existing space and public resource concentration in Fuxing Island. The overall planning will focus on the waterfront space characteristics, overall spatial layout, and existing resource strategies of Fuxing Island, creating a future urban experimental zone, an innovation and entrepreneurship talent cluster, and a leading area for intelligent innovation in time and space, serving the construction of the science and technology innovation center.
