The central parity rate of the RMB against the US dollar was adjusted down by 22 points today (22nd), reported at 7.0572 against one US dollar. The People's Bank of China conducted a 7-day reverse repurchase operation of RMB 67.3 billion in the open market, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, RMB 130.9 billion in reverse repos matured, resulting in a net withdrawal of RMB 63.6 billion.

The three major A-share indices in mainland China opened higher this morning and continued to rise in the afternoon, with the Shanghai Composite Index surpassing the 3,900-point mark, and the ChiNext Index rising over 2%. The Shanghai Composite Index closed up 26 points or 0.7%, ending at 3,917 points, with a turnover of RMB 789.8 billion. The Shenzhen Component Index closed up 192 points or 1.5%, at 13,332 points, with a turnover of RMB 1.07 trillion. The ChiNext Index closed up 69 points or 2.2%, at 3,191 points, with a turnover of RMB 482.6 billion.

Large-cap bank stocks underperformed the market, with Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) and China Construction Bank (601939.SH) rising 0.1% and 0.2%, respectively. The "three telecom giants" weakened, with China Mobile (600941.SH), China Telecom (601728.SH), and China Unicom (600050.SH) falling between 0.6% and 2.1%.

International gold prices rose, boosting gold-related stocks, with Zijin Mining (601899.SH), Shandong Gold (600547.SH), Zhongjin Gold (600489.SH), and Chifeng Jilong Gold (600988.SH) rising between 3.6% and 4.6%.

Major chip stocks performed well, with SMIC (688981.SH) and Hua Hong Semiconductor (688347.SH) rising 6% and 4.5%, respectively. Cambricon (688256.SH) and Moore Threads (688795.SH) each rose 1.3%. Lian Microelectronics (605358.SH) hit the daily limit up.

Lithium battery stocks rose in the afternoon, with Enjie (002812.SZ) up 8.3%. Jinyuan (000546.SZ) rose 4.1%. Ganfeng Lithium (002460.SZ) and Tianqi Lithium (002466.SZ) rose 1.7% and 1.9%, respectively. Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (300750.SZ) fell 0.6%. BYD (002594.SZ) remained stable with a slight increase of 0.2%.

Robot concept stocks collectively surged in the afternoon, with Shoukai Co., Ltd. (600376.SH) and Yidelong (603380.SH) both hitting the daily limit up.
