As the U.S. stock market is in high demand, most Asia-Pacific stock markets also gained momentum, but Singapore missed this wave of increase. The Straits Times Index slightly declined by 0.19 points on Friday (December 26), closing at 4636.15 points.

There were 14 stocks that rose, with ThaiBev showing the most impressive increase, rising 1.10% to SGD 0.46; 10 stocks declined, with Jardine Matheson Holdings (JMH) facing the largest selling pressure, falling 1.43% to USD 66.65. Other stocks remained unchanged.
Looking at the Asia-Pacific stock markets, Tokyo and Taiwan's stock markets led the way, rising 0.68% and 0.65% respectively; apart from the Singapore stock market, the Sydney and Kuala Lumpur stock markets also faced selling pressure, falling 0.30% and 0.14% respectively.
