During the year-end sprint phase of the new energy vehicle market, leading companies generally refreshed their monthly delivery records, and the annual sales pattern became increasingly clear. BYD continued to consolidate its industry-leading position with a monthly sales performance of 420,000 units, while new car-making forces and cross-industry entrants showed significant month-on-month growth in the final month, injecting strong momentum into their annual performance.
Specifically, BYD's December new energy vehicle sales reached 420,400 units, with a cumulative annual sales of 4,602,400 units, a year-on-year increase of 7.73%, in line with its annual target. Xiaomi Auto's December deliveries exceeded 50,000 units, marking the company's solid footing in the automotive sector. NIO delivered 124,807 new vehicles in the fourth quarter, setting a historical high with a year-on-year increase of 71.7%.
HarmonyOS delivered 89,611 units in December, breaking the monthly record, with a cumulative annual delivery of 589,107 units. Leapmotor delivered 60,423 units in December, with an annual delivery volume of 596,555 units, a year-on-year growth of 103%. XPeng and Li Auto also delivered 37,508 units and 44,246 units in December, respectively, with annual delivery volumes exceeding 400,000 units.
This round of delivery peaks coincided with the adjustment of the vehicle purchase tax incentive policy. Starting from January 1, 2026, the purchase tax incentive for new energy vehicles will change from exemption to a 50% reduction, prompting automakers to launch financial incentives and limited-time offers to stimulate year-end purchasing demand.
<h2>BYD's Annual Sales Increased by 7%, Achieving Annual Target</h2>
In December 2025, BYD's new energy vehicle production was 419,800 units, and sales were 420,400 units. The cumulative annual production was 4,537,400 units, a year-on-year increase of 5.42%; cumulative sales reached 4,602,400 units, a year-on-year increase of 7.73%, in line with its annual target. Data shows that in 2025, BYD's overseas annual sales exceeded 1 million units for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 145%.

Xiaomi Auto continued its strong growth trend, with December deliveries exceeding 50,000 units. To further boost sales, Xiaomi YU7 launched a special financial policy for the New Year, offering a &#34;3-year interest-free&#34; installment plan across the entire range. Users who place an order for the YU7 before 24:00 on February 28 can enjoy a down payment starting from 74,900 yuan, with monthly payments as low as 4,961 yuan under the new policy. Users who place orders during the same period can also enjoy a limited-time car purchase benefit of 48,000 yuan.
Additionally, there are benefits such as a test drive reservation gift of an alloy car model and 8,000 points for inviting friends to lock in orders. Xiaomi stated that the launch of the new financial plan for Xiaomi Auto at the beginning of the year responds to the demands of many users for better financial options and significantly lowers the ownership threshold and purchase cost of high-quality SUVs

In December, Nio delivered 48,135 new vehicles, setting a historical high with a year-on-year increase of 54.6%. Among them, the Nio brand delivered 31,897 vehicles, also a historical high with a year-on-year increase of 54.8%, marking five consecutive months of growth; the Ladao brand delivered 9,154 new vehicles; and the Firefly brand delivered 7,084 new vehicles, setting a historical high with a month-on-month increase of 16.4%, also marking five consecutive months of growth.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, Nio achieved new vehicle deliveries of 124,807, setting a historical high for a single quarter with a year-on-year increase of 71.7%. The quarterly delivery volumes of its three major brands also set new records: the main brand Nio delivered 67,433 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 27.8%; the Ladao brand, targeting the family market, delivered 38,290 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 92.1%; and the Firefly brand, focusing on the young and entry-level market, delivered 19,084 vehicles, a month-on-month increase of 52.8%.
For the entire year of 2025, Nio cumulatively delivered 326,028 new vehicles, also setting a historical high for the year with a year-on-year increase of 46.9%. Among the three major brands, Nio delivered 178,806 vehicles for the year, Ladao delivered 107,808 vehicles, and Firefly delivered 39,414 vehicles, forming a tiered and differentiated product matrix.
It is noteworthy that starting from January 1, 2026, the vehicle purchase tax preferential policy will be adjusted from exemption to a 50% reduction. The new policy is favorable for battery-swappable models that separate vehicle and battery, allowing additional purchase tax exemptions for those buying Nio, Ladao, and Firefly models with the BaaS battery rental plan.

XPeng delivered 37,508 new vehicles in December 2025, achieving a steady year-on-year growth of 2% and showing a month-on-month recovery trend. For the entire year of 2025, the company’s cumulative delivery volume reached 429,445 vehicles, a significant year-on-year increase of 126%, demonstrating strong market expansion and product competitiveness.
Li Auto delivered approximately 109,200 new vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2025, with 44,246 vehicles delivered in December alone, maintaining stable market performance. By the end of 2025, Li Auto's cumulative delivery volume surpassed 1.54 million, becoming the first new force brand in the country to achieve this milestone, marking a new stage in its scaled development.
Li Auto's Chairman and CEO Li Xiang stated that in 2026, the company will continue to adopt a startup management model, focusing its energy and resources on creating real value, making cars smarter partners that better understand user needs and proactively provide services.

HarmonyOS Smart Mobility delivered 89,611 units in December, setting a new monthly delivery record for three consecutive months. The total deliveries for the year 2025 reached 589,107 units, a year-on-year increase of 32%.
Specifically, Aito M9 has achieved a cumulative delivery of over 500,000 units in 20 months, making it the sales champion in the 500,000-unit category; Aito M8 has maintained its position as the sales champion in the 400,000-unit category for six consecutive months. The Xiangjie S9T ranked first in sales among mid-to-large new energy sedans with over 300,000 units from September to November; the Zunjie S800 has held the top spot in the 700,000-unit luxury sedan sales for three consecutive months.
