CATL plans to build a zero-carbon technology city in Xiamen

CATL (03750.HK) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Xiamen Municipal People's Government. Both parties will jointly build a zero-carbon technology city and explore new paths for the development of zero-carbon cities and zero-carbon industries.

The focus will be on constructing a global zero-carbon technology research and development center, vigorously developing zero-carbon technology services, and using the zero-carbon technology city as a core platform to attract and gather upstream and downstream enterprises in the zero-carbon industry, thereby building a collaborative development industrial ecosystem. CATL will rely on the existing industrial foundation in Xiamen, including Xiamen Shidai, New Energy Security, Shidai Electric Service, and empirical energy storage, to comprehensively expand its zero-carbon ecological business layout
