
The interest rate for the new batch of savings bonds has risen to 2.25% | Lianhe Zaobao

The latest batch of Singapore Savings Bonds (SSB) has an average interest rate of 2.25% over 10 years, up from the previous rate of 1.99%. The Monetary Authority of Singapore announced the details of the savings bonds to be issued in February, with the first-year interest rate set at 1.35%. The issuance amount has increased from SGD 300 million to SGD 400 million. The total subscription amount for the savings bonds issued in January was SGD 211.15 million, exceeding the issuance in December 2025. The application deadline is January 27, and the subscription results will be announced on January 28, with official issuance on February 2. The public can apply through local banks and OCBC Bank's app, with a minimum subscription amount of SGD 500
