COSCO SHIP INTL increases capital in joint venture, raising its stake to 80%

COSCO SHIP INTL (00517.HK) announced that yesterday (5th) it signed a capital increase agreement with COSCO Shipping Technology and the joint venture COSCO Shipping Green Intelligent Ship Service to increase capital for the joint venture. COSCO SHIP INTL will transfer its 100% equity in its wholly-owned subsidiary Yuantong to the joint venture; meanwhile, COSCO Shipping Technology will transfer the SMART SAILING platform to the joint venture and make a cash contribution.

After the capital increase is completed, COSCO SHIP INTL's equity in the joint venture will increase from 51% to 80%, while COSCO Shipping Technology's equity in the joint venture will decrease from 49% to 20%. The joint venture will continue to be a direct non-wholly-owned subsidiary of COSCO SHIP INTL
