Following a significant rise and a new high on Tuesday (January 6), the Straits Times Index in Singapore continued its momentum on Wednesday (7th), slightly increasing by 0.2% or 9.38 points to 4749.35 points as of 9:15 AM.
The total trading volume was 94.74 million shares, with a trading value of 162.69 million yuan. There were 108 advancing stocks and 57 declining stocks.
Among the 14 constituent stocks of the Straits Times Index, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding led the pack, rising 2.53% to 3.65 yuan; nine stocks declined, with Jardine Matheson Holdings (JMH) facing the largest selling pressure, dropping 1.97% to 70.58 USD.
Other constituent stocks showed no gains or losses.
