The first product, the battery box, produced by the integrated die-casting production line of Dongfeng Motor has been delivered

DoNews Automotive reported on January 22 that, according to Dongfeng Motor's official announcement, on January 21, the first product produced by Dongfeng Motor's global largest 16,000-ton integrated die-casting production line—the battery box—successfully rolled off the production line and was delivered.

It was introduced that the delivered battery box is the first product of mass production from Dongfeng Motor's integrated die-casting production line, developed by Dongfeng Motor Research Institute and Yuechuang Technology, relying on the "whole-zero collaboration" mechanism, which took 14 months to complete.

Compared to traditional production methods, the integrated die-casting battery box, through highly integrated design, can enhance the safety of the vehicle's power battery system, reduce the weight of the vehicle body, lower energy consumption, and extend the range of new energy vehicles. With the production of this product, Dongfeng Motor will become the first complete vehicle company in the industry to achieve an integrated die-casting layout covering the front, middle, and rear of the entire vehicle body
