The Hong Kong Tourism Board, in collaboration with the Chinese Culinary Institute, has invited over 50 local renowned chefs to launch the first "Hong Kong Good Taste" gourmet guide featuring selected dishes from various districts across the city. The guide includes 250 favorite restaurants, covering local snacks, time-honored brands, trendy cafes, and Michelin-starred establishments.

Dr. Lam Kin Ngok, Chairman of the Tourism Board, stated that the guide aims to inspire travelers to embark on a culinary journey through chef recommendations. Participating chefs include Executive Chef Wong Lung To of the Fu Lin Restaurant and Executive Chef Lee Man Sing of the 32 Mansion, among other star chefs. The recommended restaurants feature Chinese flavors from Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Cantonese, Yunnan, as well as cuisines from France, Italy, Japan, Korea, and Thailand.

The dedicated webpage for "Hong Kong Good Taste" has also been launched, providing an electronic version of the guide for download, with tags for regions, cuisines, and dining occasions for easy searching. Travelers can also scan the area-specific QR codes posted at various MTR stations and bus stops to instantly access restaurant information in that area. The Tourism Board will broadcast promotional videos at the airport, visitor information centers, Lan Kwai Fong, and various shopping malls to enhance promotion.

In March, the Tourism Board will invite media from mainland China and overseas to visit Hong Kong, engage with local chefs, taste selected restaurants from the guide, and participate in the inaugural "Asia's 50 Best Restaurants" awards ceremony held in Hong Kong
