The Bank of Korea announced that South Korea's consumer confidence index rose to 110.8 points in January, an increase of 1 point month-on-month.
The survey was conducted from January 8 to 15, interviewing 2,500 households nationwide, with 2,254 households responding.
Respondent households rated their current living standards from 95 to 96. The rating for future living standards remained at 100.
The rating for future household income remained at 103. The rating for future household spending increased from 110 to 111.
The rating for the current economic environment in South Korea rose from 89 to 90. The rating for the future economic environment in South Korea increased from 96 to 98.
The rating for future employment prospects decreased from 92 to 91. The inflation forecast for the next year remained at 2.6%
