
The second phase of the Zijin Giant Dragon Copper Mine has been put into production, increasing the daily production capacity of the copper mine by 200,000 tons
Zijin Mining (02899.HK) announced that on January 23, the second phase of the Julong Copper Mine officially commenced production. Based on the existing 150,000 tons/day mining and selection project, the Julong Copper Mine will add a production capacity of 200,000 tons/day, resulting in a total production capacity of 350,000 tons/day.
After reaching full production in the second phase, the annual ore mining and selection capacity of the Julong Copper Mine will increase from 45 million tons to 105 million tons, with annual copper production expected to rise from 190,000 tons in 2025 to approximately 300,000-350,000 tons (with an expected output of 300,000 tons this year); annual molybdenum production will increase from 8,000 tons to approximately 13,000 tons; and annual silver production will rise from 109 tons to approximately 230 tons. The Julong Copper Mine will become the largest copper mine in China and also the world's highest-altitude, lowest-grade world-class super-large copper mine
