Gold and silver prices hit new highs. New York futures gold broke through the $5,000 mark, reaching a high of $5,080.1 per ounce, setting a new historical record, and is currently reported at $5,074.6. New York futures silver peaked at $107.925, currently reported at $107.685.

Hong Kong-listed gold jewelry stocks performed well, with LAOPU GOLD (06181.HK) opening up 5.33% today, rising 14% to a high of 898 HKD, reaching a six-month high. It is currently reported at 850.5 HKD, up 7.93%, with a trading volume of 1.8889 million shares, involving 1.641 billion HKD. UBS's latest report indicates that LAOPU GOLD's sales during the Spring Festival are expected to exceed market conservative expectations, mainly due to the continuous rise in gold prices, potential price increase expectations for products, and the gradual launch of promotional activities by more stores as the Spring Festival approaches.
