The pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed higher as ANTA SPORTS acquired nearly 30% of shares, and Puma surged 20%

Investors are optimistic about the trade agreement reached between the EU and India, and are preparing for a series of corporate earnings. European stock markets rose on Tuesday. The pan-European Stoxx 600 closed up 0.6%.

German sportswear company Puma's shareholders, the French billionaire Pinault family, sold 29% of the company for €1.5 billion to China's ANTA SPORTS. Puma rose 20%.

The UK FTSE 100 index closed up 58 points or 0.6% at 10,207 points. The German DAX index closed down 38 points or 0.2% at 24,894 points. The French CAC 40 index closed up 21 points or 0.3% at 8,152 points
