HSBC Holdings Aiqiao Intelligence: Hang Seng will maintain independent operations
HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) CEO Noel Quinn stated that Hang Seng Bank is no longer a listed company but will continue to uphold its traditions and embark on a new chapter.
In an open letter to Hong Kong published in several newspapers, Quinn mentioned that Hang Seng's farewell to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange marks an important moment for the market, but Hang Seng will maintain independent operations with its own governance structure, brand, branch network, and customer positioning. The values cherished by the public, its contributions to society, and its service culture across generations will be passed down.
He noted that by combining the traditions of both banks, including Hang Seng's local roots and HSBC's global reach, they will continue to create more new opportunities for families, small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, and businesses
