
JD Airlines opens international cargo route from Wuhan to Bangkok
JD Logistics (02618.HK) announced that its subsidiary JD Airlines has recently opened a regular international freight route between Wuhan and Bangkok, Thailand. The first flight, a fully loaded JD Airlines B737-800BCF freighter carrying cross-border e-commerce packages and high-value electronic products, took off yesterday (27th) from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, flying directly to Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.
This route will be operated by the 737-800BCF freighter, with a maximum single-trip payload of 22 tons, capable of meeting the bulk transportation needs of various types of goods. The flight frequency for this route will be dynamically adjusted according to the season, with three flights per week from January to October, and an increased frequency of five flights per week from November to December.
In addition, the JD Logistics (Wuhan) import and export commodity distribution center was officially launched yesterday, and the JD Logistics operational site at Tianhe Airport was also put into use. The company expects to form a "air-ground collaboration" logistics closed loop with the Wuhan to Bangkok route, further enhancing transportation efficiency
