Xiaomi denies exploring the establishment of an electric vehicle joint venture with Ford: Ford states there is no factual basis
According to a report by the Financial Times citing informed sources, Ford Motor (Ford)(F.US) had negotiations with Xiaomi-W (01810.HK) regarding cooperation, exploring the establishment of a joint venture in the United States to manufacture electric vehicles. However, according to a response from Xiaomi cited by Sina Finance, the report about Xiaomi negotiating a joint venture with Ford is false. Xiaomi is currently not selling its products and services in the United States and has not engaged in such negotiations.
In response to the related rumors, Ford stated, as reported by Reuters, that the related reports are completely fabricated and have no factual basis
