Morgan Stanley published a research report, adjusting the focus stock list for China and Hong Kong as well as the A-share thematic focus list, including China Aluminum A-shares (601600.SH) and removing Yangtze Power (600900.SH). It expressed optimism about China Aluminum as the largest aluminum producer in the country, holding a legal aluminum production quota of 8.15 million tons. The company previously announced plans to establish a joint venture with Rio Tinto to acquire nearly 69% of Brazil's aluminum assets. It believes that if the transaction is finalized, it will drive the growth of green aluminum production for China Aluminum and enhance its share of overseas market business.

In light of the macro environment, a weakening dollar, domestic capacity in China, and limited growth in overseas supply, Morgan Stanley predicts that aluminum prices will remain high this year, with industry fundamentals tight. Production costs may slightly decrease, and it believes that China Aluminum's profit margins will perform strongly this year, with the ability to gradually increase dividends in the coming years, giving it an "Overweight" rating
