On the morning of February 5th, a meeting on financial support for the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor was held in Chongqing. Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Pan Gongsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of the People's Bank of China, also spoke, while Hu Henghua, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor, presided over the meeting. Pan Gongsheng stated that it is an important responsibility of the People's Bank and the financial system to effectively support the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor. The People's Bank will continue to support the acceleration of the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, strengthen collaboration with the provinces (regions, municipalities) along the corridor, support Chongqing as a hub, continuously build and develop the financial services and financial infrastructure system for the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, promote the interconnection and optimization of financial elements, enrich and develop the financial services and product system, enhance the precision and effectiveness of financial support, coordinate high-level financial openness and security, improve the facilitation of cross-border trade settlement and investment financing along the corridor, optimize cross-border financial services, and better serve the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor and the high-quality development of the western region.
