U.S. Treasury Secretary Becerra stated that whether to sue Federal Reserve Chairman nominee Waller over interest rates will be decided by President Trump. When asked about Trump's mockery, Becerra said it was just a joke.
According to CNN, after Trump announced Waller as the Federal Reserve Chairman nominee, he mentioned over the weekend that he might sue Waller for lowering interest rates. Later, Trump claimed that he expected his nominee to lower interest rates.
Currently, the U.S. Senate has not scheduled a hearing regarding the confirmation of Waller's nomination
