EU hikes tariffs on Chinese ceramics to 79% to counter dumping

The EU has increased tariffs on Chinese ceramics to 79% to combat dumping practices, replacing previous duties of 13.1% to 36.1%. This decision follows a review of anti-dumping measures and aims to address unfair business practices by Chinese producers, who are believed to benefit from state support. The new tariff will be in effect for five years and is intended to protect the EU ceramics industry, which employs over 30,000 people.
