Feb 9 (Reuters) - Britain’s FTSE 100 (.FTSE) index is seen opening higher on Monday, with futures (FFIc1) up 0.4%. * OCADO: Ocado (OCDO.L) plans to cut up to 1,000 jobs, or roughly 5% of its workforce, as part of a renewed cost-cutting drive, the Sunday Times reported. * LSEG: London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG.L) foreign exchange trading platform was facing technical issues in India on Monday, five traders told Reuters. * ANGLO AMERICAN: Angola is pursuing a 20%-30% stake in De Beers, a proposal being discussed with other diamond-producing African nations, a senior official from Angola’s mining ministry told Reuters. * NATWEST: NatWest (NWG.L) is closing in on a 2.5 billion pound takeover of Evelyn Partners, Sky News reported. * BP: The union representing hundreds of workers at BP’s (BP.L) Whiting refinery said the oil major does not intend to honour the national oil bargaining agreement. BP said it was not obligated to follow any pattern and will continue to bargain in the best interests of everyone. * JOBS: Starting salaries for permanent staff in Britain showed their biggest rise in nearly a year and a half in January, according to a survey that also showed the downturn in the number of new permanent staff recruiters hired eased. * COMMODITIES: Oil prices fell on Monday, copper rose, and gold extended gains. * FTSE: FTSE 100 ended higher on Friday after heavyweight lenders offset another slide in data analytics firm RELX, giving the index a positive finish to a week that had been marred by a tech selloff.
