The Ministry of Transport stated that its inter-ministerial collaborative regulatory unit recently interviewed Alibaba-W (09988.HK) subsidiary Gaode Taxi platform due to prominent issues such as inadequate management of partner ride-hailing platforms, price suppression, and improper emergency response.

The Office of the Inter-Ministerial Joint Conference on Collaborative Regulation of New Business Formats in Transportation requires Gaode Taxi to strengthen the management of aggregation services, urge partner platform companies to maintain relatively stable business strategies, and enhance monitoring and early warning of abnormal price and income fluctuations; seriously implement the public commitment to reduce commission fees, ensuring reasonable income for drivers.

At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the review and management of access to ride-hailing platforms, vehicles, and drivers, continuously improve compliance levels, and enhance order traceability monitoring management to prevent orders from being resold and layered commission deductions
