JD.com Jiabaolin Kaixin: Integration with JD.com's business and supply chain is progressing smoothly
JD.com (09618.HK)(JD.US) completed the acquisition of Hong Kong's Jia Bao Food Supermarket last August and established the "Innovative Retail Jia Bao Business Department." Lin Kaixin, head of the procurement department at JD Jia Bao, stated in an interview with Radio Television Hong Kong that the integration with JD's business and supply chain is proceeding smoothly. Currently, Jia Bao stores have introduced over 100 JD private label products, which are well-received by consumers. Last year, they also introduced live hairy crabs directly from the mainland for the first time, marking the first sale of fresh products in Jia Bao's over thirty years of operation. In the future, they will consider introducing more fresh products and increasing the proportion of fruits and vegetables sourced directly from domestic origins.
She revealed that as of the end of last month, the number of Jia Bao stores reached approximately 96, and they plan to continue opening new stores, expecting to exceed 100 in the first half of the year, while maintaining a cautiously optimistic outlook for sales during this year's Lunar New Year
