HENDERSON LAND celebrates its 50th anniversary by holding two major events to welcome the new year with 3,500 community members of all ages

Last month on the 16th, HENDERSON LAND (016) celebrated its 50th anniversary. Over the past month, more than 20,000 citizens and employees participated in various celebration activities. With the Lunar New Year approaching, the group also held two major events over the past weekend (14th and 15th), namely the "Year of the Horse Reunion Dinner" and "Community Fun Day," inviting 3,500 elderly people, young people, and grassroots families to experience the festive atmosphere. Reunion Dinner with the Elderly The group stated that the "Year of the Horse Reunion Dinner" invited 300 elderly individuals from the transitional housing projects at Bo Ai Jiang Xia Wei Village and Heng Pu New Garden, as well as seniors from the Kwun Tong Christian Family Service Centre, to enjoy a reunion dinner at the Miramar Hotel. They carefully designed booths for intangible cultural heritage sugar-blowing crafts, a lucky draw, and children's lion dance performances, creating a joyful atmosphere for the elderly. Several members of the HENDERSON LAND Warmth Project volunteer team also participated in the reunion dinner. In addition to interacting with the elderly, they personally wrote couplets for them, sending New Year blessings. Furthermore, each participating elderly individual received a New Year gift bag containing seasonal food and practical gifts such as scarves. Inviting Multiple Teams to Perform Regarding the "Community Fun Day," the group collaborated with over 20 non-profit organizations, including Caritas Hong Kong, the Children's Cancer Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, community lounges, and schools, inviting more than 3,200 elderly individuals, young people, grassroots families, and sick children to participate in a carnival held at the Central waterfront, further spreading love and positive energy to more families and groups. On that day, the group specially invited multiple performance teams from organizations such as the Hong Kong Youth Association, the Hong Kong Dance Company, and the Competitive Karate Centre to present music, dance, and karate performances on the "HENDERSON LAND Community Stage," bringing unforgettable joyful memories to the participants and providing young people with opportunities to showcase their talents, encouraging them to realize their dreams
