Yushu made its third appearance on the Spring Festival Gala, still surprising netizens. On February 16, New Year's Eve, Yushu Technology, as the robot partner of the Spring Festival Gala, collaborated with the Henan Tagou Martial Arts School to present an upgraded martial arts performance program called "Wu BOT," based on last year's "Yang BOT." Yushu Technology's humanoid robots G1 and H2 performed alongside live actors, completing high-difficulty actions such as backward obstacle crossing and backflips, while also showcasing martial arts with long staffs, nunchakus, and long swords, including a segment of drunken boxing. Regarding this program, Yushu Technology's founder Wang Xingxing stated in an interview with CCTV that this year, the robots' top laser radar, dexterous hands, and other hardware and software have undergone many upgrades. "Throughout last year, our company, along with the technology of robots across China, improved very quickly. For our company, we can now perform various kung fu movements, and on stage, we challenged many extreme actions that even ordinary people or martial artists might not be able to perform." Wang Xingxing further explained that this year, Yushu's robots changed formations while running, unlike last year when they walked slowly and changed speeds. Additionally, the robots achieved a maximum instantaneous speed of over three meters per second during the program, which greatly enhanced the stability of precise formations. "We find ordinary flips uninteresting, so we challenged continuous flips, which require higher hardware and stability, and several robots performed them together." Wang Xingxing pointed out that this time, the robots completed interspersed formations and martial arts movements while running quickly, showcasing high dynamic and high-coordination cluster control technology for the first time globally. "This action is very practical and lays the groundwork for future robot cluster or single robot scheduling in other scenarios." Wang Xingxing emphasized that in the future, he hopes to enable humanoid robots to engage more in dangerous or labor-intensive tasks with improved AI capabilities, truly enhancing productivity and improving everyone's living standards. Previously, in an interview, Wang Xingxing candidly discussed the breakthrough direction of embodied intelligence technology, stating that the biggest issue with embodied intelligence is that the capabilities of the embodied intelligence AI model itself are still insufficient. The most typical representation is its lack of generalization and versatility. "For example, it can achieve a 100% success rate using end-to-end AI technology trained in a fixed scenario. However, there is a fatal problem: if the content of this scenario changes slightly, its success rate will plummet. This is currently the biggest issue with AI. I believe everyone has a chance in the era of embodied intelligence or embodied intelligence AI. I feel that the Newton of this era has yet to be born, and we are still in a relatively crude technological age." Wang Xingxing also stated that the biggest driving factor or uncertainty behind the current robotics industry or embodied intelligence industry is primarily dominated by AI, but the growth curve may become increasingly steep. "If in the next few years, there are truly large-scale applications of embodied intelligent AI models and breakthroughs in robotics technology, the heat may be at least 100 times, or even 1000 times higher than it is now.
