JD attacks the Hong Kong insurance market, applying for the "JD Insurance Consultant" trademark

JD Group (09618.HK) obtained an insurance brokerage license from the Hong Kong Insurance Authority last October. According to the latest information from the Intellectual Property Department, the group's subsidiary "Beijing JD (Three) 360 Degree E-commerce Co., Ltd." has submitted an application for the "JDA JD Insurance Consultant" series trademark in Hong Kong, and the current application status is "application received."

This trademark application covers category number 36, which includes not only insurance brokerage, insurance consulting, and insurance underwriting but also extends to financial management, payment agency services, commercial brokerage, art appraisal, real estate management, customs financial brokerage services, guarantees, fundraising for charitable funds, trusts, and pawnbroking, reflecting JD's layout in Hong Kong's financial business that goes beyond just insurance
