BOC HONG KONG extends the grace period for mortgages at Hongfu Garden by 6 months
BOC HONG KONG (02388.HK) stated that it will fully cooperate with the Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Association of Banks on the follow-up measures launched for the long-term housing arrangement plan of Hong Fu Court, and will provide the following further support to affected customers.
The repayment grace period for affected customers' existing mortgages, personal loans, and credit cards (including principal and interest) will be automatically extended by six months until the end of November 2026.
If affected customers choose the "Flat-for-Flat" scheme offered by the SAR government, the mortgage terms (including interest rates and remaining repayment periods) after the completion of collateral conversion will not be inferior to the existing mortgage conditions. At the same time, for individual customers in need, the bank will further extend the repayment grace period of their existing mortgage loans until they move into the newly purchased subsidized sale units.
The bank will actively maintain close contact with the Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Association of Banks through the newly established communication platform, and will understand the specific needs of Hong Fu Court residents through the "Explanatory Team" of the SAR government's Housing Bureau, providing timely and appropriate assistance
