Middle East conflict disrupts global supply chains, Maersk suspends more container shipping services
Due to security risks in the Middle East and Gulf regions, A.P. Moller - Maersk will suspend two container shipping services, marking the latest sign of conflict disrupting global supply chains. According to a notice sent to customers on Friday, Maersk will temporarily halt the FM1 shipping service connecting the Far East and the Middle East, as well as the ME11 shipping service connecting the Middle East and Europe. Following attacks on Iran and its retaliatory strikes against U.S. ally targets in the Middle East, commercial activities at one of the world's key transportation hubs have been disrupted, leading Maersk to suspend orders from several Gulf and Middle Eastern countries
