China Maintains Opposition to U.S. THAAD Deployment in South Korea

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Guo Jiakun, addressed a routine press conference, responding to reports about the U.S. military's actions. According to Jin10, the U.S. is reportedly relocating some components of the THAAD missile defense system from South Korea to the Middle East. When asked for China's stance on this development and whether it would oppose the potential return of these weapons to South Korea, Guo stated that China's position against the deployment of the THAAD system in South Korea remains unchanged.
