Meituan upgrades the "Star Eye" large model, shifting food safety governance from "kitchen monitoring" to "full-chain risk control"

Meituan announced the upgrade of the "Star Eye" vertical multimodal large model (hereinafter referred to as the "Star Eye" large model) and the integrated service system of software and hardware. It is reported that this system is independently developed by Meituan's core local business - intelligent hardware team and will be launched in April 2025. After this upgrade, the Meituan "Star Eye" system will significantly improve the high cost, high latency, and poor privacy protection issues faced by AI technology implementation in food safety scenarios through a new "end-cloud collaboration" and Agent technology architecture, helping the platform's risk supervision shift from "post-event tracing" to "real-time blocking."
