<h3>EUROPE’S STOXX 600 FALLS, BANKS SLUMP OUTWEIGHS EARNINGS WINNERS</h3>
<p>Europe’s STOXX 600  (.STOXX)  is falling 0.7% on Thursday with sentiment remaining tetchy even as earnings broadly surprised to the upside.</p>
<p>Zooming out, oil prices extended gains after tankers were struck in Iraqi waters, and Brent crude  (LCOC1)  was last up 6.6% at $98 a barrel.</p>
<p>Banks are the worst off sector in Europe  (.SX7P)  trading down 2.3%, led by HSBC, down 5.2% after going ex-dividend. Aerospace and defence  (.SXPARO)  names are staging a 1.6% comeback.</p>
<p>At the top of the STOXX 600 is Swiss engine turbocharger maker Accelleron Industries  (ACLN.S) , surging 14% after strong full-year results and a positive outlook for 2026.</p>
<p>Meanwhile On the Beach Group  (OTB.L)  shares fell nearly 10% after it suspended forecasts as the Iran war hits Mediterranean holiday demand.</p>
<p>Shares in  (TCAPI.L)  are topping the FTSE 100, up  5.7% after the inter-dealer broker reported higher profit, boosted by volatile markets. Zalando  (ZALG.DE)  is up 9.3% after results, and Italy’s Leonardo  (LDOF.MI)  is up after strong guidance.</p>
