Air China to resume flights to North Korea from March 30 after Covid halt

Air China will resume flights between Beijing and North Korea starting March 30, following the recent restart of passenger train services. Flights will operate every Monday until May 18, then reduce to two Mondays in June. North Korea had previously imposed strict COVID-19 restrictions, banning tourists and limiting border traffic. The country has begun to ease these restrictions, with North Korean Air Koryo resuming flights in 2023 and accepting Russian tourists in February 2024, surprising many who expected Chinese tourists to be first.
